<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled reticulated article, whose reticulated shape and size can be changed over a wide range, at a low cost, by notching a formed body, extruded from a cylindrical die having a wave-form or rugged die lip shape, with a rotary blade, and expanding the notched body being still under a plastic condition. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic resin is extruded from an extruding cylindrical die 1 having a wave-form or rugged die lip shape, and properly notched over a depth from the crown 6 of a formed body 4 but not reaching its bottom 7 with a rotary blade 3 fixed to a rotating ring 2. Thereafter, the unnotched part of the formed body 4 under the condition that the formed body 3 still has plasticity is expanded with a tapered mandrel 5 to form a reticulated article.</p> |
