PURPOSE:To simplify a structure and to improve the reliability by pressing a disk onto a turntable by the weight of a tray and a chucking member descended incorporatedly with said tray in loading the disk onto the turntable. CONSTITUTION:The chucking plate 67 is moved downward by the self-weight while the tray 2 rises and supported by a support part 66. Then the disk 1 placed on a recess 73 of the tray 2 is inserted between the chucking plate 67 and the turntable 86. Then the a gap H3 is formed between the disk 1 and the turntable 86. Then both side plates 52, 53, the upper plate 54 and the tray 2 are descended vertically till the height H4 larger than the gap H3 by the movement of both the moving plates 20, 21. The disk 1 on the tray 2 is loaded horizontally onto the turntable 86 while the disk 1 is floated from the tray 2 by the said descending. Then a ring shape projection 70 of the chucking plate 67 is pressed into contact onto the upper face of the disk 7 and the thrust bearing 69 of the upper plate 54 is pressed into contact onto a center projection 68 of the plate 67 from the upward direction.
