PURPOSE:To obtain a cyclohexanecarboxylic acid derivative having improved action as a remedy for gastritis and gastric ulcer and antiplasminic agent, by treating a special compound or a salt thereof in the presence of specific microbial cells, etc. CONSTITUTION:A compound expressed by the formula (R is benzyl, phenyl or lower alkyl which may have a substituent group) or salt thereof is treated in the presence of microbial cells of a microorganism belonging to the genus Aspergillus or Mucor, culture thereof or fractionated substance thereof. Thereby the aimed 4'-(2''-carboxyethyl)phenyl trans-4-aminomethylcyclohexanecarboxylate or a salt thereof is obtained without accompanying decomposition of the phenyl ester. 4'-(2''-Benzyloxycarbonylethyl)phenyl trans-4- aminomethylcyclohexanecarboxylate hydrochloride may be cited as the raw material compound. |
