PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image over the whole range of a visual field without impressing feeling of incongruity on a visitor, by providing plural infrared rays light emitting elements for illuminating an object, and arranging each of them after adjusting the angle of an optical axis so as to cover uniformly the whole range of the visual fields of a condenser lens. CONSTITUTION:Plural infrared rays light emitting elements 4 for the illumination of the object are provided, and each of the plural infrared rays light emitting elements 4 is arranged after adjusting the angle of the optical axis so as to cover uniformly the whole range of the visual fields of a condenser lens 3. The titled monitoring camera detects the brightness of the object by a light quantity detecting element, and also, controls the light quantity of the infrared rays light emitting element by using the output signal of the light quantity detecting element as a control signal. And it is possible to obtain the sharp image over the whole range of the visual fields of the condendser lens 3 by illuminating uniformly the whole range of the visual fields of the condenser lens 3 by the plural infrared rays light emitting elements 4.
