PURPOSE:To realize a complicated control flow by a simple circuit constitution, by storing branch information corresponding to each state, state information corresponding to the number of states, and state information corresponding to an output signal, in ROMs which have been provided separately, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The titled circuit is provided with three pieces of selector circuits 5, 6 and 7 for inputting a four-dimensional input vector signal C whose elements consist of four pieces of input signals, selecting three pieces of elements in accordance with its contents, and outputting a branch control vector signal C', a latching circuit 4 for outputting a first state vector S which is generated in accordance with a clock signal CLK and to which its element is given in accordance with each state, a ROM 1 for generating a selector control vector signal P for controlling the selection of the selector circuits 5, 6 and 7 by using the signal S as an address input, a ROM 2 for outputting a second state vector signal S' by using the signal C' and S as address inputs and inputting it to the latching circuit 4, and a ROM 3 for outputting an output vector signal II whose components are four pieces of output signals by using the signal as an address input.
