PURPOSE:To lessen change in frequency as compared with that in load current by arranging a core with small cross section in a core gap of transformer. CONSTITUTION:Two E-shaped cores 16 composed of ferrite are placed opposite each other to form a magnetic core 17 in the shape of a character ? (day). A core gap 19 is formed between abutting surfaces of a central magnetic leg 18 of said magnetic core 17 and a core 20 with cross section smaller than that of a central magnetic leg 18 of the E-shaped core 16. A primary bobbin 22 wound by a primary side coil 21 composed of a primary winding and a base winding and a secondary bobbin 24 wound by a secondary side coil 23 composed of a secondary winding are built in the central magnetic leg 18 of this magnetic core 17.
