PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition containing S-(alpha,alpha-dimethylbenzyl)-1- piperidine carbothioate, 2-(2,4-dichloro-3-methylphenoxy)propionanilide and one or two kinds of other compounds as active components. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition contains (A) S-(alpha,alpha-dimethylbenzyl)-1- piperidine carbothioate, (B) 2-(2,4-dichloro-3-methylphenoxy)propionanilide and (C) 1-(4-methylphenyl)-3-alpha,alpha-dimethylbenzylurea and/or N-(alpha,alpha-dimethylbenzyl)-2- bromo-2-t-butylacetamide as active components. The weight ratios A:B:C are 1:(0.2-0.8):(0.3-1). The components of the composition synergistically control weeds hardly controllable by the separate use of each components. The composition exhibits controlling effect against wide variety of weeds at a low rate of application and gives no phytotoxicity to paddy rice plant.
