PURPOSE:To enable even a thin printing paper to be stably fed, by pressing driven rollers against a platen by supporting the roller by a lever energized by a spring, and projecting on the lever a guide are proximate to the platen on the downstream side of the driven rollers with respect to the feeding direction of a printing paper. CONSTITUTION:When a printing paper 7 guided by a paper guide member 8 is clamped between a main body 3 of a platen 1 and driven rollers 5, the rollers 5 are spaced from the main body 3 of the platen by an amount corresponding to the thickness of the paper 7, and the movement of the rollers 5 is transmitted to a guide arm 17 through a lever 12, whereby an optimum gap for feeding the paper 7 is formed between a guide surface 18 of the arm 17 and the peripheral surface of the main body 3 of the platen. Accordingly, even when the load of a printing head 10 acts on the feeding of the paper 7 by the platen 1 and driven rollers 6, the paper 7 is stably fed under the function of the guide surface 18 of the guide arm 17, and wrinkling or staggering will not occur even when a thin printing paper 17 is used. |
