PURPOSE:To decrease the number of elements and pass gates to increase the working speed and to reduce the occupied area for a booth converting circuit, by providing a 1st and 2nd switch circuits, a 1st and 2nd FET, and an exclusive logic circuit. CONSTITUTION:If signals LQX and Q2X are kept at L, the signals Xi and Xi-1 to be supplied to switch circuits SW1 and SW2 are not transmitted. While L of a signal N is transmitted and the output signals QB is set at L. Then the signal Xi emerges at the output QB when the signal N is set at L as long as the QX is set at H with others having no change. In the same way, the output QB is equal to Xi-1 as long as the signal N is set at L in case Q2X and QX are set at H and L respectively. Then the output QB is set at H as long as QX and Q2X are set at L with the signal N set at H respectively. The inverse Xi emerges at the output QB as long as QX and Q2X are set at H and L with the signal N set at H respectively. Then the inverse Xi-1 emerges at the output QB as long as QX and Q2X are set at L and H with the signal N set at H respectively. In such a way, the booth conversion output is obtained. |
