PURPOSE:To obtain a light control device characterized by high resolution, easy control and a high SN ratio by moving magnetic fluid in a body by magnetic bubbles generated and extinguished in accordance with control information and to control the quantity of light passed through the body. CONSTITUTION:Bubbles generated in a bubble generating part 22A on the surface of a magnetic material 22 of a magnetic force control plate 20 are successively moved on an angel fish type bubble horizontal moving part 22B formed by 'Permalloy' pattern on the basis of magnetic field control by a bias magnetic field control plate 24. Thereby, an information string horizontally arranged on one line is formed on the moving part 22B, and at the time of supplying current to a bubble transfer pat 22, transferred to a bubble vertical moving part 22D. The information string of the bubbles are moved up to a body fixing portion shown by dotted lines and fluid 32 in the body 30 is held and sucked against the magnetic force of a magnet 34 to change the body 30 into a shaded state. Consequently, the bubbles are moreover transferred to a lower bubble extinguishing and moving part 22F and united with extinguishing bubbles 22G.
