PURPOSE:To obtain a lens fixing method having excellent environmental resistance and high productivity and prevented from thermal influence at the time of fixing by positioning a lens and then irradiating a fixed part between the lens and a member by laser beams through the lens. CONSTITUTION:The spherical lens 1 is positioned on a prescribed position of the member 2 and then the contact between the lens 1 and the member 2 is irradiated by laser beams radiated from a laser radiation device 3. The laser beams 4 are converged by the lens effected of the lens 1 of its own and radiated to the contact between the lens 1 and the member 2. The radiated laser beams 4 are absorbed by the member 2, so that the temperature of the member 2 is raised, the temperature of the lens 1 is also raised by thermal transmission from the member 2 to the lens 1 and the member 2 and the lens 1 are welded and fixed. Since the laser beams 4 are converged by using the lens effect of the lens 1 of its own it is unnecessary to accurately control the distance between the laser radiation device 3 and the welding part and the device can be also simplified.
