SIZE MEASURING INSTRUMENT FOR HEATING HEAD

PURPOSE:To read the gap between a couple of heating heads at a glance by providing a slide mechanism part which moves the couple of heating heads in a contacting and a leaving direction and a scale part fixed on the front side of the heads at an interval. CONSTITUTION:The heating heads 2a and 2b to which chips 3a and 3b are fitted are arranged side by side under a main body 11 through slide mechanism parts 4a and 4b. A bent bracket 5a is fitted to the body 1 in front of the heads 2a and 2b, and the scale 6 is fixed on the front surface of its lower part in parallel to the axes of the mechanism parts 4a and 4b. The measuring reference line 7 of the scale 6 is aligned with the center line of the bracket 5. Then adjusting knobs 17 are rotated to move the heads 2a and 2b to right and left along the the chips 3a and 3b. The gap between the chips 3a and 3b is adjusted to the width size (a) of a flat package type integrated circuit 8 and an adjusting screw is fixed. The scale 6 is read at this time to easily know the width (a) of the circuit 8.
