PURPOSE:To automate an operation for filling wax by feeding a mold on a table to a chuck by a pushing rod, chucking the mold upon sensing of an object to be detected on the mold, returning the pushing rod, feeding the chuck backward to a pouring nozzle by a backward feeder and taking out the mold by a taking-out rod. CONSTITUTION:The sensing wave past a window 13 of an upper member 12 on the chuck 10 is reflected by the object 3 to be detected when the mold 1 provided with the object 3 to be detected atop the position corresponding to a pouring port 2 on one side face is placed on the table 4 and is fed by the pushing rod 5 into the chuck 10. The mold 1 is brought to the prescribed position of the chuck upon sensing of said wave and is grasped between the upper member 12 and a lower member 11 by lowering the upper member, then the rod 5 is returned. The chuck 10 is moved in the nozzle 14 direction by the backward feeder 20 when the grasping pressure attains the prescribed pressure. The pouring port 2 fits to the nozzle 14 at the terminal and the wax is filled into the space in the mold 1. The upper and lower members 12 and 11 open and the taking-out rod 35 moves across the moving direction of the lower member 11 above said member when the completion of the filling is sensed by the increase of the pressure thereof. The mold 1 is then taken out.
