PURPOSE:To exactly connect unit underground walls by a method in which, the position of coupling claws is actually measured, and a coupler with the coupling claws is welded to the periphery of a steel tube whose periphery is contacted with the position of the coupling claws to make up a steel tubular sheet pile for coupling. CONSTITUTION:A steel tubular sheet pile 9 for coupling is driven while connecting coupling claws 3e1-3h1 with couplers 8a-8d, and an unit underground wall 5a is connected to an underground wall 5b. The sections 10a and 10b of the steel tube 7 with the couplers are excavated and concrete 11 is packed into the excavated holes with the couplers. Excavation is made for the inner grounds 12a and 12b of unit underground walls 5a and 5b and an inner ground 9a of the sheet pile 9 and concrete is placed into the excavated holes to construct a well. Large-size underground wall can thus be constructed in a short time by such a highly strong and reliable coupling method.
