PURPOSE:To prevent toner from the generation of a tailing phenomenon by applying low-resistance silicone oil specified in volume resistivity at 25 deg.C to a fixing roller. CONSTITUTION:Residual potential on the roller can be immediately leaked by applying the low-resistance silicone oil whose volume resistivity at 25 deg.C is 1.0X10<7>OMEGA.cm-1.0X10<13>OMEGA.cm. Polyether-denatured silicone oil to be an electrostatic charge preventing general-purpose material or conductive filler dispersion type silicone oil, or the like is adopted as the low-resistance silicone oil. The ordinary silicone oil applying method to be used for offset prevention is used as it is or silicone oil having certain viscosity is directly applied to the roller. Consequently, the tailing phenomenon can be suppressed while sufficiently satisfying problems such as image density, image quality and fogging. |
