PURPOSE:To accurately foresee the point of time when frost is generated and to prevent the generation of frost, by using a frost sensor having a detection part coated with a resin and measuring humidity at low temp. to detect the vicinity of a frost point. CONSTITUTION:A frost sensor measures humidity at low temp. to detect the vicinity of a frost point and further prevents the generation of frost on the surface of glass. A relational straight line relating to the humidity at low temp. and electric resistance is preliminarily formed on a graph and the frost sensor is provided to a frost generating area and measures electric resistance to determine a frost point. The generation of frost is prevented by a method for providing a structure knowing said frost point to close the switch of the heating device mounted in the vicinity of the frost generating area. As the heating device, a means for melting the frost on the surface of glass, for example, by a method for providing a heat wire or sending hot air is employed. By this method, the point of time when frost is generated is foreseen accurately and the generation of frost can be prevented.
