<p>PURPOSE:To accurately detect a regeneration timing of a filter and prevent early deterioration of the filter, by detecting a trapping rate of particulates in an exhaust gas trapped by the filter, and determining the regeneration timing of the filter. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust system of a Diesel engine is provided with a filter 1 for trapping particulates in an exhaust gas by adsorption. A trapping rate of the particulates in the filter 1 is detected by a trapping rate detecting means 2. The trapping rate thus detected is compared with a set value by a regeneration timing determining means 3 to determine whether or not a regeneration timing of the filter 1 is reached. If the regeneration timing is determined to be reached, the filter 1 is regenerated by a filter regenerating means 4. Thus, as the trapping rate of the particulates is detected and the regeneration timing is determined, the regeneration timing can be accurately acknowledged. Accordingly, early deterioration of the filter 1 may be prevented.</p> |
