<p>PURPOSE:To quantitatively detect ozone, by containing a triphenylmethane leuco dye and an acid stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:A detection element 1 consists of a support 2 comprising paper or a film and the coating or impregnation layer 3 comprising a composition containing a triphenylmethane leuco dye and an acid stabilizer applied to one surface of the support 2. A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 4 may be provided to the back surface of the support 2 in order to fix the detection element 1 to a necessary area. The detection element 1 requires no operation infiltrating moisture and can be used in the detection of ozone in a so called dry state. Therefore, the development of sharp hue peculiar to the leuco dye can be obtained with respect to the quantity of ozone stably and quantitatively.</p> |
