The present invention relates to a composite covering method for panels or other pressed components.
<??>The method is characterised in that it essentially consists in preheating a covering fabric 2, for approximately 5 to 15 seconds, preferably for approximately 10 seconds, then in positioning the said fabric in a mould and in carrying out a pre-pressing operation whilst simultaneously heating, apart, for approximately one minute, a thermoplastic support 1, then in cooling the thermoplastic support 1, superficially, on its face receiving the covering fabric 2, for approximately 2 to 10 seconds, preferably for 5 seconds, with air at ambient temperature, under a pressure of approximately 6 bar, by spraying air, then in arranging in succession the covering fabric 2 and the support 1 in a mould 4 and then in carrying out a conventional hot-pressing cycle on the assembly.
