PURPOSE:To improve activity by inputting the next original data with the aid of an automatic original picture transmitting device even in the process of printing when there is a vacant area in a memory. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 20 decides whether or not there is more vacant area where image data can be stored in a page memory 21 based on the used address of the memory 21. The information is transferred to a image read device 3 through an I/F19 and an I/F18 and a control circuit 16 decides whether the image data is inputted. When it is inputted, an operation part 17 makes the image forming task of an automatic original picture transmitting device ADF22 start. If a program is made up in this way, even before completing the front printing process action the input action of the image data can be executed and operational ability for the time when a lot of original image need to be inputted can be improved.
