PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity characteristics and stability of potential characteristics during repeated uses by incorporating a resin obtained by polymerizing a specified styrene type monomer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is composed of a conductive substrate and at least an electric charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer formed on said conductive substrate, and said photosensitive body contains the resin obtained by polymerizing the styrene type monomer represented by the formula shown on the right in which each of R1-R6 is H or a substituent, and when R6 is H, all of R1-R5 is not simultaneously H, and when R6 is a substituent, all of R1-R5 may be H. It is preferred for this styrene type resin to have a number average molecular weight of 10,000-200,000, preferably, 30,000-80,000, thus permitting sensitivity to be enhanced and variations of potential in the light and that in the dark during repeated charging and exposing cycles. |
