PURPOSE:To perform a test for the inside of all interfaces with a simple constitution, by connecting an internal timing signal to the idle pin of the connector of an interface converter and then connecting a folded connector to the connector of one side. CONSTITUTION:The connectors 1 and 2 are connected the devices A and B respectively and receive an interface IF conversion in the normal operation mode by various driver circuits 4, 6 and 8 plus receiver circuits 3, 5 and 7. Thus the data is transmitted. In a test mode, a folded connector 13 is loaded to the connector 2, and an internal timing signal generator 9 is connected to an idle pin (c). As a result, the signal fed from a data driver ciecuit 4 is folded by the connector 13 and then fed to a data receiver circuit 5. At the same time, the internal timing signal supplied from the generator 9 is folded to be fed to a timing signal receiver circuit 7. Therefore all IF circuits in an IF converter are used to perform the test in the test mode. |
