PURPOSE:To facilitate the maintenance of a recording part, by forming a recording medium with the recording medium capable of forming an electrostatic latent image, and providing a static eliminator which erases a residual electrostatic latent image on a writing medium. CONSTITUTION:A writing medium 1 is taken up from bottom to top in arrow head direction. A developer 4 is positioned beneath the medium 1 to perform stable development, and an electrostatic magnetic head 2, and a static eliminator 5 are positioned on thc opposite side of the display plane of the medium 1. In such case, the head 2 forms the electrostatic latent image on the medium l. By attaching a toner having charge with the reverse polarity as that of the electrostatic latent image on the image at the developer 4, it is visualized, and is delivered on the front plane of a cabinet not shown in figure. The toner attached on the medium 1 is in an unstable state to an extent possible to be erased by the friction of a blackboard eraser, etc., but it is in a stable state to the extent that it is not splashed by vibration, etc. Also, the residual electrostatic latent image on the medium 1 can be erased in the static eliminator 5 by taking up the medium 1 in arrow head direction.
