PURPOSE:To prevent a magnetic head and a recording medium from being contacted by using a piezoelectric element for a suspension supporting a slider. CONSTITUTION:Bimorphs 1, 2 are adhered to the suspension 4 by an epoxy group adhesives and they are adhered to the slider side of the suspension. With a motor running at 3,000rpm or over and a magnetic head in read/write, no voltage is applied to the bimorphs 1, 2 and it is unchanged from a conventional floating attitude. When the number of revolutions of the motor is 3,000 or below or no magnetic head is in read/write operation, a voltage is applied to the bimorphs 1, 2, which are bent causing the slider 3 and the storage medium 5 to be parted.
