PURPOSE:To eliminate the mechanical machining process by using a masking member made of an elastic member at a background chemical plating nickel phosphor plating process and a support fixture having a spring incorporated with the masking member so as to apply the masking. CONSTITUTION:A hard disk 4 is placed to an outer diameter of a masking ring 1 and a taper ring 3 is pushed into a spring ring 2, then the taper part of the spring ring 2 is widened to spread the diameter of a recessed groove, then the masking ring 1 is spread and its outer diameter is increased and in circumscription with the inner diameter of the hard disk 4. In pushing the ring 3 further, while the masking ring 1 made of a fluorine rubber is deformed by the elasticity, the ring 1 is interlocked with the hard disk 4 for the press contact. Thus, the inner diameter side cylindrical part 6 of the hard disk 4, a chamferred slope 7 and a part of the inner diameter side part 8 on the front and rear face are masked by the masking ring 1 and set by a support jig at the same time.
