PURPOSE:To widen the working range of a bucket by a method in which, an arm is pivotally attached through a top link to a boom, and the top link and the bucket are pivotally connected by the arm and a bucket cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The basal portion of a boom 11 whose tip is pivotally connected to a top link 13 is pivotally attached to a revolving frame 10. Both ends of a rod 15 and both ends of a boom cylinder 18 are pivotally connected to the frame 10 and the top link 13 by pins. The base of an arm 20 pivotally connected to the tip of a bucket 22 is pivotally attached to the tip of the top link 13 in a vertically movable manner. Both ends of the bucket cylinder 28 are pivotally connected with the top link 13 and the bucket 22, and the arm cylinder 24 is pivotally connected to the arm 20 and the boom 11. The excavating force can thus be increased by slowing down the raising speed of the cutting edge 22a in the neighborhood of the ground's surface.
