PURPOSE:To facilitate machining of a carburetter, by a method wherein, a core used when a guide passage in a rectangle in cross section slidably guiding the slide valve of a slide valve type carburetter is formed by casting, is divided into plural parts by a plane inclined from the bottom part of the guide passage toward the open end thereof. CONSTITUTION:A core, serving to form a guide passage 9 of a slide valve type carburetter, is formed by two cores 101 and 102 into which the core is divided by means of a sloped surface 103 having inclination toward guide surfaces 9a and 9b, and a core holder 104 is formed integrally with the core 101. A core holder 105 is formed integrally with the other core 102, and the core holder 105 is slidably extended through the core holder 104. Inclination of the core holder 105 is inclined based on both the sloped surface 103 and the guide surface 9b, and this constitution enables the core 102 to be easily pulled off in the direction of an arrow mark 106 after molten iron is charged. After the core 102 is pulled off, the core 101 is also pulled off.
