<p>PURPOSE:To contrive to simplify maintenance and inspection operations of rolling stock by arranging a breaker performing a make and break action in keeping with connection and disconnection between a pantograph and a trolley wire on a high tension side of a gapless lightning arrester for rolling stock. CONSTITUTION:In a usual operation of rolling stock, a pantograph 2 is in contact with a DC trolley wire 1. In this case, a breaker 10 is in an ON state by a cam interlocking mechanism 11 arranged in a spring 3 portion 3 of said pantograph 2 and a gapless lightning arrester 4 can be operated normally. Then, if the pantograph 2 is separated from the DC trolley wire 1 to undergo a routine inspection, the breaker 10 is linked to the cam interlocking mechanism 11 so as to be in an OFF state. As a result, when an AC withstand voltage test is conducted, no voltage is applied to the gapless lightning arrester 4 and a zinc oxide element is not deteriorated.</p> |
