A stackable growing frame for receiving plant-growing boxes has on the outside of its long-side pieces 10 legs 12,13, in the form of U-profiles, which project from opposite flat-side planes of the frame. The one pair of legs 12,13 is located adjacent to the one end of the long- side pieces 10, whilst the other pair of legs 12,13 is located at a distance from the other end of the long-side pieces 10. The legs 12,13 have contact flanges 20,21 at their opposite ends. The frames can be stacked either with the contact flanges 20,21 of the legs bearing one against the other (high-stacking) or, after the upper frame has been swivelled 180 degrees relative to the lower frame in the horizontal plane, with the upper contact flanges 20 of the lower frame bearing against the bottom side of the long-side pieces 10 of the upper frame or of the fixed contact pieces 17 belonging thereto (low- stacking). The frame has fork pieces 11, at least the one of which can be tilted between an upper locking position for the growing boxes 16 and a tilted-down position, approximately in the plane of the frame bottom, to allow the growing boxes 16 to be slid out. <IMAGE> |
