PURPOSE:To enable the change-over of a printing system according to the use, by providing a dot-impact print head and an electrode head for conduction thermal transfer. CONSTITUTION:On the top of a printing head 1, a wire guide 2 for a wire dot-impact print head and an electrode 3 for a conduction transfer printer are disposed to be flush with each other; a printing method is changed according to uses. In the use as a dot-impact printer, an electromagnet 6 attracts an armature 7 by being selectively energized to bring a wire 4 into collision with a paper 9 through an impact printer ribbon 8. In the use as a conduction transfer printer, the printing head 1 is pressed on a platen 12 to the extent that a thermal transfer ribbon 10 and the paper 9 cannot cause the printing head 1 to be troubled in sliding. |
