PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a compressive deformation at a high temp. and to decrease skid marks by specifying the material, constitution and total height of the skid button of a high-temp. heating furnace and the thickness in the prescribed position of the refractory material lining of a skid beam. CONSTITUTION:The upper part, in contact with a material to be heated, of the skid button of the high-temp. heating furnace in which the max. temp. exceeds 1,000 deg.C is made of composite material 1 composed of a heat resistant metal and ceramics and the lower part is made of a heat resistant alloy 2 such as Co alloy. The ceramic content of the composite material 1 is specified to 30-70wt% and the total height (h) of the skid button to >=140mm. The thickness (t) in the position of the refractory material lining 5 of the skid button 3 where the lining contacts the skid button is specified to >=50mm. This skid button contributes to the maintenance of the temp. at the top end face A1 of the composite material 1 to contact the material to be heated at the temp. approximately equal to the temp. in the furnace and in addition, the temp. of the surface A2 of the material 1 in contact with the heat resistant alloy 2 is decreased and therefore, the permissible compressive deformation resistance of the alloy 2 is substantially assured.
