PURPOSE:To improve the sentence correcting efficiency by learning a unified display form for the KATAKANA (square from of Japanese syllabary) display having flickering and unifying automatically the display flickering. CONSTITUTION:A flickering part display means 8 displays a KATAKANA string at the position received from a KATAKANA string comparing part 7 as a candidate having high possibility for the production of display flickering. A rewriting result selecting means 11 selects the one to be unified out of those KATAKANA displays having flickering to the same word displayed by the means 8. A rewriting method memory means 10 stores the deforming result and the KATAKANA display forms to be unified in a corresponding form. A rewriting method register means 12 registers the deforming result and the KATAKANA display forms to be unified to the means 10. A flickering part rewriting means 9 rewrites the KATAKANA string detected by the means 7 into the corresponding KATAKANA display forms to be unified with reference to the means 10 as long as the deforming result of said KATAKANA string is stored in the means 10.
