Gas-heated continuous-flow water heater with a water switch that controls the gas supply to the burner depending on the flow rate through the faucet line. Its casing is divided into two chambers by a diaphragm, one being connected to the water supply line and linked to the other via a suction line associated with a venturi nozzle. To regulate the varying flow of gas needed in each case to supply the gas burner, a governor (3) controlled by the difference between the pressures occurring on both sides of the diaphragm (7) of the water switch (1) is provided. <IMAGE>
