<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a photo coupler which lessens the dispersion of transmission efficiency and hightens its efficiency by mounting a reflector which reflects lights emitted by a light emitting element to transmit to a photodetector and forming an optical transmission part among three members: light emitting element, photodetector, and reflector by translucent resin, thereby treating the optical transmission part through a transfer mold process. CONSTITUTION:In a case of a photo coupler where a light emitting element and photodetector are enclosed at the same container, a reflector 17 is mounted between the light emitting element 11 and photodetector 12 and then, light emitted by the light emitting element 11 are reflected to transmit to the photodetector 12. In addition, an optical transmission part 15 is prepared among the right emitting element 11, photodetector 12 as well as reflector 17 by using a translucent resin and moreover, the optical transmission part 15 is provided by a transfer mold process. For example, the reflector is formed at a portion of a lead frame and the light emitting element and photodetector are put on the lead frame and they are connected by bond with a bonding wire. Then, the optical transmission part 15 is molded among the diodes 11 and 12 as well as reflector 17 by the translucent silicon resin and an envelope 16 is molded with epoxy resin of white color through the transfer mold process, resulting in the formation of DIP type photo coupler.</p> |
