PURPOSE:To omit the use of a voltmeter of a peak value holding type which needs a long time for control and has a low using frequency, by controlling the maximum level of the triangular wave voltage based on the control voltage measured by a DC voltmeter, the center value of the triangular wave voltage and the thyristor conduc tion factor measured by a time counter. CONSTITUTION:The amplitude V4 of a triangular wave is obtained from an equation 1 and the center voltage V1 is decided by the resistance value of a variable resistor 20. Furthermore the maximum voltage V2 of the triangular wave is obtained from an equation 2. The gradient of the triangular wave is shown by 4(V2-V1)/T1 and therefore DELTAE is obtained from an equation 3 together with a conduction factor D(T1/T2). When the equation 3 is substituted for the equation 2, an equation 4 is obtained and the voltage V1 and the output voltage E can be optionally set. Thus the voltage V2 is obtained by measuring the factor D(T1/T2). Then the amplitude V4 is shown by an equation 5 after the equation 4 is substituted for the equation 1. The control output 4 with which the conduction factor D is known is supplied to a comparator 8. In this case, a variable resistor 19 is controlled to secure coincidence with the known factor D while measuring both T1 and T2 by a time counter. Thus the V4 of the triangular wave is obtained from the equation 5.
