PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of creases or damage on a stencil paper by causing a board paper to be transported with a stencil paper overlapped with the former in such a way that the former's coated layer may touch the latter, and also the thermoplastic resin film of the stencil paper to contact with a thermal head directly. CONSTITUTION:A stencil paper 21 has a ductile thermoplastic resin layer 21A adhered to the surface of a base 21B. A surface lubricating material can be used as a coated layer 22A applied to the surface of a board base 22B. The board 22 and paper 21 are overlapped in such a manner that the base 21B may contact the coated layer 22A. Then if the board and paper are caused to pass through a thermal head 11 and a platen roll 13 by means of ink donor film 12, they are perforated. When character perforation is performed, the paper 21 is discharged to the outside of a device in such a state that the paper 21 contacts with the board 22 lightly. When printing, the paper 21 is separated from the board 22 smoothly in the presence of the coated layer 22A, thus eliminating the possibility of crease or damage generation on the stencil paper.
