PURPOSE:To realize light weight and to reduce torque irregularity, by a method wherein a plurality of solenoids are arranged in opposition to each other within a housing and a rotor is moved, and the solenoids are excited by output of a gap sensor installed on the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of solenoids 2a are arranged on one side of a housing 3, and a plurality of solenoids 2b are spaced from the solenoids 2a by a definite space and arranged in opposition thereto. Between trains of both solenoids 2a, 2b, a rotor 1 comprising a movable coil with gap sensors 51 and 52 for sensing a gap between train of the solenoids 2a and train of the solenoids 2b and for generating signal is arranged. According to signals from the gap sensors 51, 52, solenoids other than that excited to move the rotor 1 are excited so that like polarities are opposed, and distance of the gap is made constant.
