PURPOSE:To keep uniform illuminance, and to heighten reading quality, by mounting an illumination means, and a holding member, arranged along a holding plane, so as to permit relative displacement between them to be performed. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive layer 18 holds the substrate 16 of a LED array elastically on a holder 8. Even when a LED chip 15 is heated, and the peripheral temperature of the chip increases, and the LED substrate 16 is thermal-expanded in the direction of arrow head D, and the holder in the direction of arrow head E, the adhesive layer 18 absorbs a difference between them, and the camber of them in the direction of arrow head F, or arrow head G can be prevented, respectively.
