The padding for cartons consists of:… a) a bottom (1) which corresponds in its dimensions essentially to the base area of the carton and has several tabs (2) arranged in a row, which tabs are connected in each case on one straight side (3) to the bottom (1) and are otherwise free and can be bent out of the plane of the bottom (1), the straight sides (3), connected to the bottom (1), of the tabs (2) being arranged perpendicular to the direction of extension of the row of tabs and the row of tabs being subdivided in the centre of the longitudinal extension into two halves, arranged in mutual mirror image symmetry, and… b) a gable roof-shaped support (4) with a variable gable angle, the one roof edge (5) engaging in a tab (2) of the one half of the row of tabs and the other roof edge (6) engaging in a tab (2) of the other row of tabs, arranged in mirror image symmetry, in such a way that the two roof edges (5, 6) are supported on the sides (3) of the tabs (2) connected to the bottom (1). |
