PURPOSE:To efficiently cool an oil-filled transformer by utilizing latent heat when liquefied refrigerant is evaporated by forming a looplike bead or groove circulating on the outer surface of the inner wall of an evaporating chamber inclined downward from the liquid refrigerant outlet position at the top of the inner wall of the chamber. CONSTITUTION:Refrigerant sealed in a circulation system is cooled to be liquefied when exhausted from a radiator 19, the liquid refrigerant is quided by a liquid conduit 21 to an evaporating chamber 18, and fed from the outlet of the chamber 18 to the uppermost part of a bead 23. Since the bead 23 is inclined down from the uppermost part of the bead 23 to circulate on the outer surface of the inner wall. the refrigerant is guided by the bead 23 to be fed to the whole periphery of an inner wall 16. and fed sown from the periphery to moisten substantially whole periphery of the wall 16. The refrigerant flowing down on the outer surface of the wall 16 deprives the wall 16 of heat to be partly evaporated, and the remaining refrigerant retains in the bottom of the chamber 18, but is gradually evaporated by the heat from the interior. The evaporated refrigerant is fed from the top of the chamber 18 through a gas conduit 20 to the radiator 19, in which the refrigerant is condensed and again circulated.
