The invention relates to an exhaust gas purifier of the kind wherein a catalythic body (10) in a simple manner is elastically beared within a metal casing (12). This is achieved by at least partly filling a space between the catalytic body (10) and the metal casing (12) with a dampening member (11) consisting of one or more wire windings distributed over the envelope surface of the catalytic body (10) and formed by, under pre-tension drawn, flat rolled wire of a high-alloy steel. |
