<p>PURPOSE:To allow continuous record processing by providing the first discharge means having a stapling means and the second discharge means having a sorting means and switching to the sorting means in response to a loop detection signal when the stapling action is disabled. CONSTITUTION:The image information of originals fed from an original feed device (a) is recorded on recording media by a recording means (b). The recording media are fed to the first discharge tray (c) having a stapling means and are stapled by a control means (f) via the detection by a loop detection means (e). During the stapling action, if the action is disabled, it is detected by a detection means (g) and sent to a control means (h), a sorting means (d) is activated by the control means (h) via the detection by the loop detection means (e), and the recording media are discharged onto the second discharge tray. Accordingly, even if stapling is disabled, the record processing can be continued, and recorded sheets can be sorted smoothly.</p> |
