Two pipes consisting of plastic material serve, in a cost-saving manner, as supporting means for the hothouse. Owing to their flexible nature, it does not matter whether the underlying surface is uneven. The pipes have securing means on which the superstructure is fastened by means of plastic-pipe brackets. The plastic pipes are filled with water and thus have a sufficient load bearing on them so that they do not blow away in the wind. The hothouse can be assembled and dismantled rapidly and can be extended as required. A drop-irrigation means can be connected to the water-filled pipes, if, at the same time, a water supply is provided with a pressure-regulation means.
