At this time, generated light from a LED chip 15 is collected by a bar type lens 17 onto the A face side of the document 1 in a reading position 11, and its reflected light is radiated onto the light receiving part of a sensor 14 via a lens 13. And, photoelectric conversion is carried out by the sensor 14, reading the picture image information on the A face side. The document 1 is brought into contact with guides 3a, 3b at points H-L and restricted and revolvingly conveyed at a defined bend radius. Due to such a structure, the revolution can be carried out efficiently and securely, with a simple structure.
