PURPOSE:To easily form an electrode of a solid electrolyte electrolyzing cell by embedding an electric wire connected to the electrode wired to a bolt-shaped insulator, and inserting and fixing the stem part of the insulator to the peripheral wall of a porous ceramic tube. CONSTITUTION:The platinum electrode 4 is disposed to the inner side face in a head part of the bolt-shaped insulator 3 formed of ceramics, etc., and the electric wire 5 connecting thereto is embedded therein; further an electric wire 5' which can be connected to an electrode terminal is drawn out. The stem part 2 of the insulator 3 is inserted into a hole 8 bored to the required point of the peripheral wall of the porous ceramic tube 7 from the inside. A lock nut 9 is then screwed to an external screw 6 of the stem part 2 projecting to the outside of the above-mentioned peripheral part and is brazed to the outside peripheral face of the peripheral wall. The insulator 3 is thereby fixed to the tube 7 and the electrode structure 10 in which the platinum electrode 4 contacts the inside surface of the above-mentioned peripheral wall is thus formed. |
