In a metering device for the metered removal of a liquid contained in a container, in particular in a bottle such as a medicine bottle or the like, an insert part (1) is provided, which projects into the interior of the container (6) and has a hollow metering space (2). Arranged at the free end of the insert part (1) is a closure device, by means of which a metered delivery of the liquid introduced through openings (15, 16, 17) into the hollow metering space (2) is made possible, this hollow metering space (2), in particular, being subdivided by peripheral markings on its wall into a number of partial metering volumes (30-33). The closure device preferably consists of a control moulding (5) which is connected in a flexible manner to the wall of the hollow metering space (2), at least one separation being provided in the region of the connection between the wall of the hollow metering space (2) and the control moulding (5). This metering device can function separately, i.e. without a closure cap of a container, and in conjunction with a closure cap (19) and, above all, it allows a very precise liquid metering in a simple manner. <IMAGE>
