In a boring/milling station, the working spindle (24) can be moved in the three spatial axes (X, Y, Z). A workpiece table (44) has two work gripping faces (46) which are arranged at an angle of 90 DEG with respect to one another. One work gripping surface is in the vertical position in the working space whilst the other is in the horizontal position in a loading space and can be equipped from above. The workpiece table (44) can be pivoted about a pivot axis (42) which divides the angle between the work gripping surfaces (46) in two so that the two work gripping surfaces (46) can respectively change position with one another. <IMAGE>
