The invention relates to a steering arrangement, in particular for a motor vehicle, in which between a steering-gear mechanism and a steering wheel there is arranged a steering column which is attached to a holding part on the vehicle and in which a swivel head, which supports the steering wheel, is coupled in a vertically tiltable manner to the steering column so that the steering wheel can adopt various selectable heights with respect to the driver. The object of the present invention is to provide a steering arrangement of this type in which in the event of an accident in the manner of an impact with bulkhead pressure displacement the steering column is guided in a controlled manner and the steering wheel adopts an optimum position with respect to the driver in order to considerably reduce the risk to him in the accident. To achieve the object a steering arrangement is proposed in which a rocker (17) is mounted firmly and swivellably by one end (19) on the vehicle floor (18) and loosely and swivellably by the other end (46) on the holding part (12), and a control rod (50) is coupled between the swivel head (45) of the steering column (1) and the rocker (17), in each case at a distance from the swivelling point (48) of the swivel head (45) and the articulation point (19) of the rocker (17). <IMAGE>
