摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain a titled medium having a good signal to noise ratio and error rate by forming a vertically magnetized Co-N film on a high-polymer film. CONSTITUTION:The high-polymer film 1 consists of a PE terephthalate film having 12mum thickness and a primer layer 2 is provided thereon by dispersing and fixing BaSO4 particles having 300Angstrom average particle size at 10<9> pieces/cm<2> by a polymer resin. The vertically magnetized Co-N film contg. 32at% N is provided thereon at 0.2mum film thickness and 630 Oe coercive force in the vertical direction. The formation of the Co-N film is executed by sputtering vapor deposition using Co as a target along a cylindrical can having 50cm diameter and executing high-frequency glow discharge at 13.56MHz with a gaseous mixture composed of NH3+Ar (NH3:Ar=4:1) as a discharge gas. Stearic acid is further provided formed thereon as a protective film 4 by vacuum deposition to about 50Angstrom . The high-density magnetic recording is thereby stably executed at the good signal to noise ratio and error rate.
