PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having high sensitivity and less tendency for generating a fog due to pressure by incorporating silver halide particles obtd. by controlling pAg curvedly, to the titled emulsion at the time of preparing a monodispersed emulsion dispersing the silver halide particles in which the content of silver iodide is different from each other in between the inside part and the outside part of the silver halide particles. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion which is obtd. by controlling pAg, curvedly is incorporated to the titled emulsion at the time of preparing the monodispersed emulsion dispersing the silver halide particles in which the content of silver iodide is different in the direction of radius of said particles. The silver halide may be composed of either AgBrI or AgBrCl. The content of the silver iodide is preferably >=1mol% based on the silver halide particles. The period of almost or at all stopping the addition of a halide ion or a silver ion for the growth of the silver halide particles is preferably provided to change pH and pAg. The changes of pH and pAg are preferably effected by adding the aqueous solution of an acid or alkaline salt and the halide ion to the titled emulsion. |
